City Tour – ½ day – afternoon

The tour begins with a visit to the city’s cathedral, the interior houses a collection of paintings from the Cusco School of religious art. From the cathedral we will head to the Qoricancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun. From here we will leave the city and venture into the surrounding hills. Saqsayhuaman was the ancient House of the Sun, and today we can observe beautiful stone constructions erected by the Incas on a massive scale. Our tour will continue with guided visits to the temple of Qenqo, the red fortress of Pukapukara and the Inca baths at Tambomachay

Sacred Valley of the Incas – full day tour

Today will be spent in the Urubamba Valley – also known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The full day tour covers the visits of the traditional Pisaq Market, Ollantaytambo archaeological site and Chinchero colonial village

This tour is available in Pool Service and in Private Service. In this tour, a private service is highly recommended since it has the big advantage of allowing a customized tour in which you can choose the sites you wish to visit, as well as the duration of the visit in each case, not being subject to a larger group itinerary and timings. The archaeological riches of Trujillo

Colca Canyon

(2 days / 1 night)

Twice as deep as the Grand Canyon and once thought to be the deepest canyon in the world, the Colca canyon is an area of astounding beauty, this is where the immense Andean vulture, the condor, can be seen rising on the morning thermals. The reason this spectacular spot is so unique is that the condors swoop by in startling close up, so close, in fact, that you fell you can reach out and touch them, it is a breathtaking and very humbling experience.

 

Day 1 Arequipa – Colca Canyon

Departure heading to the Colca Canyon, in the journey we will pass through the desolate plains of Pampas de Cañahuas and Tocra. There you can see herds of Vicuña, the Puruña stone forest and the Sumbay caves, then from Mirador de los Condores you will contemplate the snowy summits of the Ampato, Sabancaya and volcanoes, after you descend to Chivay, the entrance gate to the valley; where you will stay in our selected hotel. Isla Suasi – Puno

A fine, get-away-from-it-all hotel is the only house on this tiny, tranquil island. The microclimate allows for beautiful terraced gardens. Isla Taquile – a lasting tradition

(2 days/ 1 night)

One of the most enduring textile traditions in Peru is found among the people of Taquile. Each family possesses at least four different types of costume: for work, leisure, weddings and festivals. Come to learn the traditional costumes and spend 2 days in the sacred lake of Titikaka.

 

Day 1 tour of the Uros and Amantani Islands

Depart at 8.30 am approximately and include transport from your hotel to the port, transport by motor boat stopping at the Uros Islands for 30 minutes to see their old traditions of fishing, trapping birds and living on the lake plants, then departing to the island of Amantani. There are no hotels on Amantani but on arrival the group is split into smaller groups for overnight stays with local families. Remember to bring some gifts for your family, so items such as pens, pencils, fruit and vegetables (which don’t grow on the Island), batteries or postcards from your home town are all warmly welcomed.

Day 2 Taquile – Amantani

You will leave Amantani around 8:00 am for the 1 hr 45 min boat ride to Taquile where you will visit the main village and numerous pre-Inca and Inca ruins and Inca terracing. There is a cooperative shop on the island that sells exceptional woollen goods which are not cheap but of very fine quality.  After lunch you take the boat back to Puno, arriving at approximately 5:00 pm.

River Rafting in Chuquicahuana section – 1 day

This section of the river is more intense with adrenaline pumping rapids class III & IV

We will include a safe Cataraft or Kayak

 

Itinerary

We will be met approximately at 9:00 a.m. at your hotel.

The bus will take us to a camping ground, where we can leave the luggage. Here you will enjoy hot showers, toilets, sauna and a comfortable dining area.

Our professional river guides will provide you with all the proper rafting equipment such as helmet, wet suits, spray jackets, paddle and bailing raft.

After a comprehensive safety talk, you will be running exiting class I, II, III & IV rapids. You will spend about two hours floating time, afterwards, we drive back to the camping ground were a good warm lunch will be served.

Our return will be in the afternoon.
